Volunteer vacancies

Volunteers have a vital role to play in the ongoing success of the Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service.

Every year, our work touches the lives of women and their families in every part of Leeds. When women get better through therapy with us, this has a cascading effect on every area of their lives including their parenting, relationships, social life, work life and ability to cope from day-to-day.

Our volunteers make a real and valuable contribution by giving their time, skills and passion to further this charitable work.

We offer volunteering opportunities in different areas:

Women’s Counselling is run by a board of charitable trustees who have a responsibility for: a) ensuring high quality service, b) developing appropriate strategy and c) raising the profile of the organisation and its work.

We are always interested in hearing from women who are passionate about the importance of women’s mental health and wellbeing. At the moment women with marketing, business, charity law or counselling would be particularly welcome as would BAME women and women who have used WCTS services.  There is a two – three hour monthly time commitment for board meetings / reading papers. All new trustees receive a full induction including mentoring with a current trustee. If you are interested please contact our CEO, Tessa Denham, on tessadenham@womenstherapyleeds.org.uk.
