Who we are

We provide a safe and sensitive environment for women to work through their difficulties. This means that all our Staff, Volunteers and Trustees are women.

Therapists and Counsellors

All the Therapists and Counsellors who work here at WCTS are either British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited or United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) registered or working towards one of these. As an organisation, we adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework.

Board of Trustees

As a charity registered with the Charity Commission, we are headed by a voluntary Board of 10 Trustees Chaired by Celly Rowe. The Board is currently looking for women with expertise in business skills, management skills and knowledge of HR, counselling and psychotherapy skills and/or legal experience to join. History of WCTS

Formed for women in Leeds in the early 80’s in response to health and social inequalities, WCTS was always a city-centre service. Read about our beginnings here.
