Volunteer vacancies

Volunteers have a vital role to play in the ongoing success of the Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service.

Every year, our work touches the lives of women and their families in every part of Leeds. When women get better through therapy with us, this has a cascading effect on every area of their lives including their parenting, relationships, social life, work life and ability to cope from day-to-day.

Our volunteers make a real and valuable contribution by giving their time, skills and passion to further this charitable work.

We offer volunteering opportunities in different areas:

We currently have a vacancy for volunteer trustees please click here for more information

Women’s Counselling is run by a board of charitable trustees who have a responsibility for: a) ensuring high quality service, b) developing appropriate strategy and c) raising the profile of the organisation and its work.
We need new trustees who are passionate about the importance of women’s mental health and wellbeing. We are looking for women who have skills and experience of mental health services, business, management, law or the media.  We welcome women from BME, and other backgrounds as well as ex-service users. There will be a time commitment for board meetings and other activities. All new trustees receive the support of mentoring from a current trustee. If you are interested please contact our trustee membership secretary Angie Sillett on angiesillett@btinternet.com.

We are always looking for people to be ambassadors for the good work that we do. Particularly if you are an ex-client we would love to hear from you. If you are interested in being a spokeswoman for WCTS please contact Tessa Denham our Director on tessadenham@womenstherapyleeds.org.uk. Traning will be provided.

If you have the time and enthusiasm to help us further our goals through fundraising we would love to hear from you. Whether it’s doing a physical challenge, helping with an event or a creative way to raise money please get in touch with Tessa Denham our Director on tessadenham@womenstherapyleeds.org.uk.
