We offer a free, or low-cost, counselling and psychotherapy service for women and girls on low incomes in Leeds. We work with disadvantaged or marginalised women and girls aged 16+ facing complex health and social situations. We help them to recover from experiences of abuse, violence, neglect, trauma and mental ill health.
WCTS is committed to strengthening the impact and sustainability of organisations supporting women and girls through collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose. As part of this commitment, we are open to exploring merger opportunities with like-minded women and girls charities.
We recognise that, in a challenging funding and operating environment, bringing women and girls organisations together can create stronger, more resilient services for the communities we serve. A well-planned merger can:
• Enhance the quality and reach of services
• Strengthen financial sustainability and resilience
• Improve efficiency
• Create new opportunities for innovation and growth.
We are particularly interested in partnering with women and girls organisations that share our values, purpose, and commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
Our approach to mergers is:
• Collaborative and transparent – working closely with partners throughout the process
• Values-led – ensuring alignment in purpose, culture, and ethos
• Focused on impact – keeping the needs of clients at the centre
• Thoughtful and supportive – recognising the importance of employees, volunteers, and stakeholders during transitions.
If your organisation is considering its future sustainability and is interested in exploring a potential merger, we would welcome an initial confidential conversation.
