Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service is currently offering mainly phone or zoom counselling for Leeds women and girls on low incomes.  We can also offer women receiving counselling support with wider health issues or in areas such as housing There is no charge for services – donations are welcome. Covid-19 Pandemic

Hello everyone, we have adjusted our services due to Covid, now mainly working by phone or video call. Our aim is to resume our normal service as soon as we can.  You can stay in touch with us on Social Media where we post tips and resources to support your wellbeing.

WCTS Services

Counselling 

General (Main) Service – We are currently taking referrals for group therapy and our 8-week wellbeing course. Please click here for more information

We are able to accept counselling referrals for our project work supporting:

  • Women who have experienced sexual abuse or violence.
  • Young women aged 16 or 17.
  • Women who are over the age of 50 and at risk of experiencing violence.
  • Women who are pregnant or have been pregnant in the past 12 months, or care for an infant under 1 year of age.
  • Referrals from professionals working within our partner agencies, for women wishing to access 1 to 1 counselling in our Reaching Communities Project.  If you are unsure of you are able to refer a client or patient via this route, then please contact us.

Perinatal Service

  • Perinatal Casework Support – For women in the perinatal period who want to access therapy at WCTS whilst facing barriers which prevent them from engaging with us. Referrals from professionals only. Please click here for more information
  • WCTS Antenatal Group – For women who are twenty weeks pregnant or over, and expected to deliver their baby in the period of the Covid-19 restrictions, we can help you prepare for your labour / birth. Please click here for more information

By accessing WCTS services remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic, you are accepting these Counselling and Psychotherapy Remote Sessions Agreements.

We work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
