Service Manager

• Hours: 24-35 hours per week Working pattern negotiable (to include Wednesdays).
• Salary: £33,075 – £37,273 pa (pro rata based on 35-hour week); 5% employer pension contribution.

Based at our building Portland House in central Leeds, this important role involves supporting and motivating a skilled experienced team of counselling professionals and taking a can-do approach to achieving service outcomes. As well as having leading a team of around six members of staff, we’ll rely on you to identify and contribute to development opportunities and get involved in local networks and partnerships. If appropriately accredited, you may hold a small caseload. Your key focus however, will be on managing service delivery of external grants from charitable funders including working with funders / external stakeholders.

Counsellor / Psychotherapist : Domestic Violence Service Pilot

(1 year contract – intention to make permanent)

• Hours: 21 hours per week (Working pattern negotiable to include Wednesday morning, Monday and/or Friday and one evening to 7pm).
• Salary: £27,262- £32,792 (pro rata) depending on skills and experience, plus 5% employer pension contribution.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of developing a pilot project, delivering short and long term therapy to women and families in Leeds Women’s Aid refuges. When individuals and families leave their home in fear of domestic violence and abuse they usually leave their belongings, friends and families and have suffered trauma. Leeds Women’s Aid want to be able to provide all the support they need. Working in partnership with Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service and funded through New Burdens Funding from Leeds City Council we are developing additional specialist support to help families deal with the impact of domestic violence and abuse. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with women and families with experience of domestic violence.

Counsellor / Psychotherapist (Three posts)

• Hours: 21 / 24.5 / 28 hours per week (Negotiable to include Wednesday morning and one evening to 7pm).
• Salary: £27,262- £32,792 (pro rata) depending on skills and experience, plus 5% employer pension contribution. Higher salary may be available for an exceptional candidate with further training and/or experience. We offer regular supervision, peer support, training and opportunities for professional development.

Based at Portland Street LS1 3DR, and working from community venues in Leeds.

Posts 1 and 2: General Service
The successful candidate will have experience of working with the consequences of sexual harassment, violence and abuse. Work with women from minority communities would be an advantage as would experience of providing psycho educational groups on trauma stabilisation.

Post 3: Perinatal Mental Health Service
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with pregnant women and mothers with babies.

Applications are invited from female counsellors or psychotherapists with full BACP Accreditation / UKCP Registration (or equivalent) OR those eligible for Accreditation with at least 500 post qualifying hours. Applications are invited from a broad spectrum of women (Genuine Occupational Qualifications apply under the Equality Act 2010). Posts are subject to DBS checks.
